    Coasting Home

    Visiting an Old Friend We left Miami and headed up the East coast of Florida. Our itinerary was pretty loose. The only things we really had planned were visits to friends and family. My friend Dee was the first stop along the way. She lives a bit north of Miami. Dee was one of the first real friends that I made when living in San Diego.     Miami By Way of Havana – Part 1

    We’re finally on the road. We packed Havana up and are ready to go. The kitties have packed their favorite toys and we’re off. Heading East We left late on the first day. We only drove a few hours, made it to Willcox, and called it a night. We dry camped at the back of the parking lot at a Harvest Host location called the Cattle Rest Saloon and RV Park.     Getting Havana Ready to Roll

    We’ve named the van Havana, for now anyway. We’ll see if it sticks. It seems appropriate for a trip to Miami, the date of which is fast approaching. It seems like there’s always one more thing to do to get ready.  I feel like we really won’t know what we need until we don’t have it..and so it goes.
